Material Education:

Gold Vermeil: Vermeil is a layer of gold over a sterling silver base. Under U.S. jewelry standards, vermeil must use gold of at least 10K and have a minimum gold thickness equivalent to 2.5 microns. Because the outer surface is gold, the finish can gradually wear with use, while the underlying metal remains sterling silver.

Rhodium-Plated Sterling Silver: Sterling silver is a precious-metal alloy containing at least 92.5% silver. This clasp is finished with a thin layer of rhodium, a precious metal valued for its bright white appearance, reflectivity, and resistance to tarnishing. Rhodium plating helps protect the sterling silver surface and gives the clasp a crisp, polished finish. Like all plated finishes, the rhodium layer may gradually wear with regular use and can be professionally replated if desired.

If the clasp becomes damaged or a magnet becomes loose or separates from its housing, discontinue use immediately.

Sterling Silver Material Disclosure

Sterling Silver: Sterling silver contains at least 92.5% silver. It may naturally tarnish when exposed to air, moisture, skin oils, or chemicals. Tarnish is a normal surface reaction and can usually be removed with appropriate silver care.

Vermeil Material Disclosure

Gold Vermeil: Gold vermeil consists of a layer of gold over a sterling silver base. The gold surface may gradually wear with use, especially in areas exposed to frequent friction, moisture, cosmetics, or chemicals. If the gold layer wears, the underlying metal remains sterling silver.
