Sterling Silver
Sterling silver is a precious-metal alloy containing at least 92.5% silver. The remaining metals are added to improve strength and durability.
Sterling silver can naturally tarnish when exposed to air, moisture, skin oils, cosmetics, and certain chemicals. Tarnish does not mean the metal is defective and can usually be removed with appropriate polishing or cleaning.
Best for: customers who want a genuine precious metal at a more accessible price point.
Rhodium-Plated Sterling Silver
Rhodium-plated sterling silver begins with sterling silver and is finished with a thin layer of rhodium, a bright white precious metal.
Rhodium plating gives the jewelry a crisp, reflective finish and can help reduce visible tarnish on the surface. Like all plated finishes, the rhodium layer may gradually wear with friction and repeated use and can be professionally replated if desired.
Best for: customers who prefer a bright white finish similar in appearance to white gold.
Gold-Filled
Gold-filled jewelry has a substantial layer of real gold mechanically bonded to a base-metal core. It contains significantly more gold than ordinary gold-plated jewelry and is generally more durable for regular wear.

Solid 14K Gold
14K gold is a precious-metal alloy made of 58.5% pure gold, blended with other metals to improve strength and durability.
Unlike plated, vermeil, or gold-filled jewelry, the gold color is not simply a surface layer. The gold components are solid 14K gold throughout.
14K gold is available in different colors, including yellow and white gold. White gold is alloyed to create a cooler tone and may also receive a rhodium finish depending on the component.

Plated Jewelry
Plated jewelry has a thin layer of one metal applied over another metal.
